Emmanuel's Visit Day 7

Day 7 (the end)

Today at noon emmanuel is leaving. I'm very sad that he is leaving so soon. The last day we woke up and went to trader joes. Emmanuel picked anything he wanted to eat for breakfast. He chose frosted mini wheats and a cinnabun. He loved what he chose. we went home and made all the food for emmanuel. He was very pleased at what he ate. He was also sad that it was his last breakfast,  he said he really likes our meals and wishes that he could have them every day of his life. After the meal was over,  he took a brake to play a little on his nintendo. He was back after about an hour. He was all ready to pack. He didn't have much to pack. It only took a couple minuets or less to pack all off his stuff. We had nothing to do except leave for the airport. Since there was no plane that could go all the way to Gauna we had to drive to La to get a plane. It only took us 1 hour and 30 minuets. He played his nintendo basically the whole time. We got through security fast and were boarding the plane in no time. I was sad to see him leave but i new emmanuel was glad to be going back to his real home. Emmanuel was happy.

Emmanuel's Visit Day 6

Day 6
Today after the rain we were so happy to get out of the house. We were going to the store to get him a souvenir. I thought it would be smart if I asked emmanuel what he wanted to take back to Gauna. He was blank and said nothing. I decided that I would get him something electrical with a charger back to Gauna. We went to gamestop to search for a  game. We were searching though the games when he stopped at this black game player. It was a nintendo. I didn't want to buy him something that expensive but since its the only time I'll ever see hive I bought him the nintendo. With every nintendo there is always a game. I let him choose one game. He chose Pokemon. I bought the game and he played it the whole way back to our house. We had leftover cookies from yesterday. Emmanuel was so hooked into the video game that he refused the cookie. I was very surprised, but at least he was playing the video game.

Day 5

Emmanuel's Visit Day 3

  Emmanuel's visit Day 3

The one activity I would show Emmanuel would be the best sport, ice hockey. Hockey is not in Santa Barbara so we had to drive to oxnard to get to the ice rink. It only took us forty five minuets to get there. He was really cold when he entered the rink so he stayed outside while we rented his skates. After we bought him a sweater we out him out on the ice. He was downright bad. He looked like he needed some help so I decided to teach him to skate in the little time we had at the ice rink. At the end of the day he was still bad, but he could stand up. He said the sport was cold and I agreed with him. He was tired from skating so much so we went home and prepared for another day.

Emmanuel's Visit Day 4

cool-kids-rooms-2.jpg when I was waking up I thought that I should take emmanuel to my room. Emmanuel was sleeping ing our guest room. Our guest room wasn't that nice so after breakfast I told emmanuel to come into my room. He did so and was impressed on how much room and junk in my room. He looked in my closet at all the junk for what seemed like two hours. After he had tons of stuff in his hands I told him that he could have half the stuff in his hands. He was happy after I gave him my junk. I told him to go in my bed he did as I said and he was asleep in one minuet. After his long sleep he awoke and got out off my bed and It was already night. He went to bed and prepared for another day.

  Day 2

On the second day with emmanuel, I decided I would take him to my school SBMS. He was very surprised at what a really nice school looked like. He thought this was a heaven. When I was on the third floor of our school I decided to take him to the boys bathroom to see the wonderful sight. He said "you see all Santa Barbara". It was hard to pull him away from the sight. After what seemed like hours he finally looked away. He said "this place is dreamy", after we were out of the school and heading home.

Emmanuel's Visit Day 1

Day 1
Today I took Emmanuel to the Outback. He ordered the garden salad with thousand island dressing. He was blown away at what he tasted. He thought the waitress was amazing. He said that he would love to have an Outback next to his house. We laughed for a while as the joke sank in. He said that's how much food they have for two days back in Ghana where he was born and raised. He loved how they decorated the whole place with things that would really be in the Outback. He was also fascinated with the double door entrance. He loved how there were electric bathrooms with more than 3 potties in them. Overall he was blown away with the food and the whole place in general.
